D1gp / nhra / eaf

Description: I had this Friday off from work so I decided to drive out to Las Vegas. D1 Grand Prix, NHRA Sport Compact and Extreme Autofest were all going down at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Friday and Saturday. I arrived in Vegas on Thursday around 5pm. As I was pulling in to get gas my car started to leak a good amount of coolant. My radiator overflow tank had a small crack in one of the welds.

Anyhow, I did make it to my hotel and stopped by the ESPN Zone at New York New York for the D1 / NHRA signing session. Thanks goes out to Jessica Barton for a few pics while I was there.

After the ESPN Zone I walked down to Caesar's Palace after to check out their exotic collection. I also stopped by the Imperial Palace to visit their auto collection but it was closing when I got there. The misc section has a few photos outside the Bellagio on my way to Caesar's.

After spending Friday afternoon at Gaudin Ford they were able to replace my resevoir and I made it off to D1 around 6pm. The driver practice was going on today so I took about 240 photos there. Once that ended I walked around the show area for a while and took a few photos.

Saturday just wrapped up and I posted a few model photos from it. Pictures from the show are next on my todo list. I also shot some HD video footage of the tandem drifts but I will have to send to D1 first to see if I can get it approved to post on the web. One last thanks goes out to Mike Mucklin and D1GP for the hospitality.
